AWE Diaspora Sacco

A SACCO for African Women who want to make an impact in Africa

African Women in Europe Diaspora Saving and Credit Co-Operative Society Ltd (AWEDS) was registered in October  5th, 2020. The registration is in accordance with The Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490 of the Co-operative Societies Act.​

AWE Diaspora SACCO was founded and registered by AWE Kenyan members women and men living in Europe to collectively invest in Africa as a group and supports entrepreneurs by offering easy access to credit.

Who Can Join?

Our Membership Requirements

The following are the requirements for joining the Sacco:

  • Be a member of AWE
  • Kenyan men and women currently in Gainful Employment or Business within Europe
  • Kenyan men and women previously resident in Europe and engaged in business and in good standing for not less than a year prior to returning to Kenya
  • Have attained the age of 18 years.
  • Are of good character and sound mind
  • Pay the joining fee of Kshs 20,000/- and a deposit of Kshs 5,000/-
